From Fairytale Town to the Sacramento Zoo, from pony rides at William Land park to horse-drawn carriage rides in Old Sacramento -there’s plenty to do on your next family outing. Whether you drive, walk or use our scenic bike trail, here’s what to do and how to get there!

Restaurants

In the downtown metropolitan area, there’s a full menu of restaurants near the Center, with offerings sure to please every appetite. Diverse selections of delicious cuisines await- Asian, Mediterranean, Japanese , and California to name a few favorites. And right in our own Center, we are proud to host Wolfgang Puck Express, open Monday-Friday 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. ( weekends as announced). So make plans to extend your special event to include a meal. Want to shop until you drop? Sacramento's retail scene and shopping malls have everything you can imagine.

Golf

With over 90 courses located throughout the region, Sacramento has quickly become a golf lover's delight. Plan a tee-time around your visit to the Convention Center. Take a look at the City’s beautiful courses, located just a few miles from the Center.

Arts

Sacramento hosts some of the finest music, dance and theatre events in the nation, with a good portion of it taking place in our own two venues, the Community Center Theater and the Memorial Auditorium. If visual art is on your to do list, check out the calendar at the Crocker Art Museum, or enjoy a Second Saturday art stroll.
